Terralsole is a family-owned, certified-organic estate in the hills of Montalcino. Athena and her husband Mario have been making Brunello here for twenty years.
The estate sits on two distinct vineyards, with its tasting room, cellar, and terrace open to guests by reservation.
A guided walk through the Terralsole portfolio. Rosso, Brunello, Brunello Riserva, and a pour of estate olive oil. Hosted in the tasting room or on the terrace, depending on the weather.
An intimate dinner at the estate, paired with a curated flight of Terralsole wines. Hosted in the cantina or the private dining room. Limited to twelve guests per evening.
A full evening of Riservas, library vintages, and Tuscan food. Athena hosts personally when she is in residence; Mario hosts otherwise. Limited to eight guests per evening.

Tasting-room rule
You arrive at the estate through a road lined with cypress trees. The parking is easy, the welcome warm. You’ll be greeted by someone who knows you’re coming.
A walk through the vineyard, if the season and weather allow. The light in Montalcino, whichever season you come, is extraordinary.
The tasting room is stone-walled, cool, low-lit. Olive wood on the table, glasses ready, the wine poured in order. The pace is slow. You are not being moved through.
You leave with one bottle or twelve, whichever your day allows.
Terralsole is a thirty-minute drive from Montalcino’s main piazza, an hour and twenty minutes from Siena, and two hours from Florence. Parking at the estate is free. We recommend driving yourself if you’re comfortable on Tuscan back roads — otherwise, we can arrange a driver.
